Mutant fruits and fake money… – PHOTOS

I clearly remember a year or two ago, I did not have this habit. Well, now I do – occasionally I photograph some things that happen around me, at work, at home, doesn’t matter, and I share them. In this post, I’ll share some of the latest ones with the readers.

First one. People in our office usually have their lunch breaks. Some prefer eating in the kitchen, others (like me) eat right at the office table, due to lack of free time. Anyway, that day, I decided to take a couple of shots of this giant mutant tomato, that our girls in the office brutally cut to pieces, and ate it afterwards. I dont remember seeing this big tomato in a while. Take a look at the pics below.

Getting to know your body: Salsa dancing in Baku – PHOTOS

Last week, one of my friends asked whether I was interested in attending a “salsa class”, here in Baku. Well, for me it was the same as asking if I would like to compete in a kickboxing tournament. The only difference would be that I would still try to step into the ring, determined to kick some butt, but in case with salsa… I just backed out. Read the rest of this entry »

Azerbaijan-Photo: Different trees in Baku

The capital of Azerbaijan is looking better and better. Well, not all of it, but in the most visible places it is just that. I keep on reading in the press about “over 100 000 new trees being planted” here and there. Nice, really nice. Trees, that’s definately something that should be planted everywhere.

So, couple of days ago, I stumbled on a very nice photo gallery of various trees planted in Baku. Not like its something unusual, yet we often dont even notice the real beauty that trees posess. On the pictures, however, its clearly visible. Take a look at the shots below: some were shot on the Baku boulevard, some near the Icheri Sheher, and some just on the street side. It was also reported, that over 7,000-8,000 cabs will be delivered to Azerbaijani regions. Well, so far I have not seen any cabs of this shape on our streets. Who knows, maybe they operate privately. Check out some “cab photos” below. Read the rest of this entry »

Baku TV tower – unusual photo

Roaming the net, I accidentally found a very unique photo of Baku’s TV tower. Not that the picture is a “wow”, but still hands down to the photographer. The Baku TV Tower, built in 1996, is a free standing concrete telecommunications tower in Baku, Azerbaijan. It has a height of 310 metres (1017 ft). The tower has become one of the most prominent trademarks of Baku, often in the establishing shot of films set in the city. Read the rest of this entry »
